HI TECH EQUIPMENT ALLOWS LIVE VIEWING OF PARANORMAL ACTIVITIES

Paranormal Activity at Golden Lane Art and Antique Gallery Can Now Be Viewed on Large Screen Monitors as the Events Actually Happen at the Gallery

The building housing the Golden Lane Art and Antique Gallery in New Oxford, PA dates to the early 1870’s when it was built as a shoe factory. For the last 22 years it has served as an Antique Gallery.

Several professional paranormal investigations have established strong evidence of ghosts or the spirits of individuals that have passed residing in the building. The Gallery has installed special high tech infra red cameras that capture paranormal activity as it happens. These images are observed on large screen televisions in a specially constructed viewing room.

Golden Lane Art and Antique Gallery is conducting interactive Ghost Tours on Thursday and Saturday nights. Trading under the name of “Ghosts of Golden Lane” the tour guarantees that participants will view actual paranormal activity in live time. The Ghost Tour is by reservation only.

All Ghost Tours are conducted by Barry Strohm, owner of the Gallery and author of the soon to be released book, “Haunting and History of the Battle of Gettysburg”. The Tour includes a lecture with pictures of actual apparitions and other types of paranormal activity as well as a live viewing session.

An Afternoon Tea, Steeped in History, Fundraiser

On Saturday, July 23, 2011, the New Oxford Area Historical Society (NOAHS) will present its second Afternoon Tea Fundraiser, sure to satisfy yourappetite as well as your taste for history. Place settings of antique china, crystal,and silver will grace the tables at the First Lutheran Church, 200 Lincoln Way East in New Oxford. The full menu consists of tender scones, served with Devonshire cream and lemon curd, delicious soup, four different elegant tea sandwiches, a variety of scrumptious desserts, and a selection of delightful teas.There will be two seatings – the first at begins with tea at 11:00 followed by the program at 1:30 and the second begins with the program at 1:30 followed by the tea at 2:30.

The program this year will be Ruthmary McIlhenny in "Mamie Remembers." She will portray First Lady Mamie Eisenhower, as a symbol of her time and an ideal of womanhood. Ruthmary has studied both the professional and personal life of Mamie Eisenhower through research, hand written letters andmany other sources. The NOAHS will display items from its collection of historic memorabilia and artifacts of New Oxford and the surrounding area. The First Lutheran Church will also showcase some pieces from its past.
